Head of Sales for Great Big Story, David Spiegel, discussed his media company that is fully-funded by CNN Worldwide. “GBS is a new socially- distributed network for the untold,” said Spiegel. “We cater to the intellectually curious with non-fiction stories.” He wanted to be clear that GBS is not a news station, even though his company is part of Turner. “We have a very defined voice and stay true to our editorial mission which is telling these big stories, stories that are bigger than three seconds,” said Spiegel.
