Our friends at Bustle shared a story with us about how Instagram is changing its icon’s design. If you happened to hit ‘update’ on your phone on Wednesday and used the Instagram app, you noticed a major change to the company’s logo and design. According to Instagram the new design is “inspired by the previous app icon…the new one represents a simpler camera and the rainbow lives on in gradient form.” The company also changed the in-app experience to a more ‘modern’ black and white look. Kohl’s shares slid Thursday morning after the company reported a drop in net sales for the first time in six quarters. The department-store chain’s results on the most important metrics missed Wall Street’s expectations. Kohl’s total net sales came in at nearly $4 billion dollars, missing the Street’s prediction of $4.13 billion dollars. Sales at established stores fell 3.9 percent missing the forecast of a raise of 0.4 percent. Finally, earnings per share came in at .31 cents compared to .37 cents analysts expected.
