Microsoft is buying 10 million strands of long oligonucleotides, laboratory molecules of DNA, from the San Francisco startup Twist Bioscience. The tech giant is exploring the idea of using DNA molecules as a way to store massive amounts of data. SpaceX announced that it entered into an agreement with NASA for a dragon mission to Mars, which is set to take place as early as 2018.
