Saturday Night Live's longest-standing current cast member, Kenan Thompson, joins Cheddar to discuss his Kickstarter apparel brand "Smile Parade." The sketch comedy icon hopes his new clothing line will introduce a living, breathing brand that grows with its audience. Thompson hopes to raise $25,000 by the end of the Kickstarter project's term.
With SNL on hiatus, Thompson does his best impersonation of former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci for Cheddar, stating that he wishes he could have played the newly-departed official himself. When addressing the Trump Administration, Kenan said he's "never seen something like what's going on in our government right now."
Kenan's other project is a new kids' sketch comedy show called "Skoogle," which reunites stars and executive producers of the Nickelodeon show "All That." The live-action series will be on "pocket.watch", a media brand that creates, acquires, distributes and curates content for children ages 2 to 11. Skoogle features Thompson as the voice of a Siri/Alexa-like artificial assistant for kids that has been created to help them solve their daily problems.
