Meet the Huntress Proving the Great Outdoors Is Not a "Man's Game"
8m 10s
Many might say Eva Shockey isn't your "typical" professional hunter. She got her start as a competitive dancer before picking up a bow and arrow like her famous father Jim Shockey.
Since then, she's risen to the top of her field, becoming the first woman to appear on the cover of Field and Stream in 30 years. She's also joined Under Armour's hunt team, and her first book, "Taking Aim," hits stores next month. The book is all about how a life in the wild can lead to increased health and happiness.
Shockey and her husband hunt together regularly, and take their 7-month-old daughter with them. "'We want to teach her the connection between what we're having at the dinner table, and where it came from," she says.
