7m 9s
FanDuel is shifting gears after its planned merger with daily fantasy sports rival DraftKings was called off in July. Nigel Eccles, CEO of the company, says FanDuel is going back to its initial strategyof going after the larger fantasy sports market. Eccles says he now sees Yahoo and ESPN as FanDuel's biggest competitors. This month, the site launched a friends mode league to increase social interactivity among its users. Eccles told Cheddar's Tim Stenovec the company is now on the verge of profitability. This comes amid reports FanDuel is in the process of raising between $30 to $40 million in funding.
