Don't Fear the Robot Revolution
1m 48s
Karen Panetta, IEEE Fellow & Dean for Graduate Education at Tufts University, discusses IEEE's new video series, "How Robots Learn." We speak with Panetta about the series, which talks to robotics experts from across the world, about how robots develop and how technology allows them to continue to evolve based on their experiences. We ask Panetta whether humans should be concerned about their jobs, and their place in society, with the rise of A.I. Panetta notes that robots will only improve the day-to-day lives of humans and do jobs that they cannot. She mentions the advanced work A.I. is facilitating in areas such as human trafficking and healthcare.
