Stalled Twitter Growth Makes James Cakmak Concerned About Strategy
1m 20s
Twitter's user base has stalled, internet analyst James Cakmak says, adding the company needs to better serve its niche. Cakmak believes the company needs to begin monetizing through premium offerings. Tech earnings are in full swing, and Twitter's stock is in freefall. User growth came in flat from the previous quarter, and Cakmak isn't convinced the framework for a turnaround is in place. Unlike Twitter, Facebook is focusing on the right ideas, says Cakmak. Mark Zuckerberg says video will be the company's largest business in 2-3 years. Cakmak says Facebook has no choice but to prioritize video. Expanding on video, Cakmak say he believes Snap has the best understanding of the mobile video experience.
