After a bill banning cannabis merchandise in California was passed by the state's House and Senate, lawmakers backed away and didn't go through with it. The bill was aimed at protecting children from being exposed to t-shirts, hats, and other paraphernalia with marijuana images on it. How is that different from the tobacco industry not being allowed to sell merchandise? Gray says it's because marijuana doesn't kill people, but cigarettes do.
