Since they control where people go next on a site, links are an extremely powerful tool for marketers and social media fanatics alike. The CEO of Bitly, a link management platform, stopped by the set to explain how to improve the customer experience with links. “When you brand a link, you drive a 34 percent more increase in the click through rate,” said Josephson on Cheddar. He also said that it is important for brands to understand what Apple, Google and Facebook are trying to do to manage their advertising revenue.
