Rep. Adriano Espaillat (D-NY), the only member of Congress to move to America as an undocumented immigrant, joins Cheddar to discuss the state of immigration in the U.S.
More than a million children of immigrants in the United States are unsure of their future in the country after the Trump administration announced it would end the Obama-era DACA program. Espaillat talks about the concerns his constituents have about the policy change.
The Congressman also lays out his new anti-hate bill which, if passed, would defund the creation and maintenance of confederate symbols throughout the country. He compares the controversy here at home to attitudes in Europe, saying "you don't see statues to Mussolini or Generalissimo Franco."
