This month's issue of Harvard Business Review tackles the issue of the gender pay gap, and the surprising thing that may put women at a disadvantage. According to a study by PayScale, women who withhold salary history receive lower offers than women who don't. On the flip side, men actually get a bump when they tell employers what they earned previously. PayScale's VP of Content Strategy Lydia Frank attributes this trend to an unconscious gender bias in the workplace. Frank shares her ideas about how employers can change up their attitudes.
