Jack Hunter, Editor of Rare Politics, discusses the meeting between President Trump and Democratic leaders Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer and the deal that was reportedly made to save DACA and raise the budget for increasing border security. Pelosi and Schumer, in a joint statement, noted that the deal did not include funding for the border wall, but President Trump took to Twitter to deny a deal was reached at all. Hunter notes that the President "speaks out of both sides of his mouth." It's very possible, he says, that Trump may not do anything about the wall and still say something publicly that makes it sound like he did, just to appease his base. And what will this latest move with Democrats do for the Republican party? Hunter believes it will ultimately hurt the approval rating of the president...and the party as a whole.
