Amazon's newest original drama goes prime time next week. "Tin Star" tells the story of a former British detective who brings his family to a small, tranquil town in hopes for a better life. Actor Tim Roth, who plays the lead role in the series, says that to prepare for the role, he studied real-life detectives who make the same move. On working for a streaming service, Roth says the creative team has the opportunity to improvise content which he found "refreshing." Roth says television is a writer's medium and there are extraordinary writers moving into this world. "Tin Star" premieres on Amazon Prime Video September 29th.
