Google will roll out new products on Wednesday, but will the company be able to compete with Amazon's recent surprise product announcements? Daniel Bader, Managing Editor at Mobile Nations, and Jan Dawson, Chief Analyst at Jackdaw Research, discuss Google's strategy in releasing a new version of its Pixel smartphone. Bader believes the Pixel 2 will be able to compete with the iPhone X or Galaxy S8. But Dawson says Google had some issues with the first Pixel that he hopes the company has figured out. That includes distribution, supply, and phone hardware. In terms of smart assistants, both predict Google will lower prices for the expected new Google Home Mini to compete with Amazon's new Echo.
