Greg Zeman, Associate Editor for Cannabis Now, discusses a 77-year-old man who was recently sentenced to 10 years in prison due to mandatory minimums for marijuana crimes in various U.S. states. The man was found with 1,700 plants in his home and, despite the judge's wishes, was still sentenced to prison. Zeman adds that marijuana sentencing actually just benefits prison operators, and not the community overall. We talk about the future of marijuana in America under an administration whose judicial system is led by Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who has repeatedly spoken out against cannabis use.
